Well, looks like Valve messed up big time

New Post said:
Today, Valve have announced that as from October 11th, Counterstrike:Source will use a dynamic pricing system to decide the prices of the in game items. Prices will be decided like a stock market system, with more popular guns from the previous week being priced higher than less popular ones.

I thought it was centalised to valves servers.

This is grade A bs. wheres that partition dave? gonna sign it for all my family, including the cats and dead horse:mad:

Also, all players ranging from newbies to experts will be buying m4 + AK a lot, so the prices will keep rising. The awp however is banned on many servers, or like ours - 1 per team and not everyone buys awps anyway. So, if this price thing goes ahead - the day the awp is cheaper than the AK is the day I quit CSS :p

A server option would be a good idea, as most would turn it off and steam would notice how bad an idea it really is.

not to mention that I (or whoever is calling) has to memorise new prices every week, to decide whether to eco or buy guns

that is f**king rediculous, makes me think that valves programmers are just bored kids who can write games rather than people who give a

uh lets clear this up for you.

Email via the Linux HLDS mailing list from Alfred Reynolds:

There will be a cvar controlling this new functionality, mp_dynamicpricing, you can disable it if you wish by setting its value to 0.

But it's up to the leagues if they enforce it, in matches.
