Valve has Discontinued their Steam Link Hardware

Huh? App for PC? That App surely doesn't behave as a sender to any smart TV, right?

You still need the steam client or steamOS on your PC, and you stream to the app i your Smart TV, Android TV device, Android phone connected to the TV etc.

The App works really well, just as good as my Steam link device.

I don't understand it... Of course I have Steam on my PC, but the article talks about an "app that is available on [...] PCs [...]." I hate that everything is called App nowadays :D For me, Apps are still software for Smartphones, while software for PCs is still just software or a program :D

I have to use my Steam Link hardware, because my Samsung Smart TV seems to be too old.

I haven't used the app for TV or phone but how does one connect a controller to said app if not using the steam controller?

Any bluetooth control should work with the app, including the SteamController (Which got a firmware update enabling BLE support alongside the apps release)

Nice thanks for the info. Been quite a while since I used steam link and was always on a wired controller.
