The framerate was a bit lower than I'd like at 1680x1050, probably averaging in the 30's and dipping into 20's. If the 8800GT 512MB is around $300, I'll be getting one, and that should run it quite well.

The team really did test the game at some extreme resolutions.
Best bit for me was stating the 2 mid range cards amd/nvidia are somewhat slower than the top 4.
I understand the want to test the game v cards at extreme levels, it makes u feel good about u`r Dell 30", but I find it an exercise in futility to go to some of the extremes when u`r readers are mainly gonna be lucky to have a Dell 20/22". U`r time could be better spent. It`d make no odds if for example a 2900 beats a 8800 @ 2560x1600 - if no1s gonna use the res. May leave a 2900 owner feeling good about their card, but on the 19" screen they use it doesn`t mean anything.
