Hey all, i recently got hold of a Xonar D2X and wanted to use it to put all my bits and pieces into. One of these is my ps3, I want to use the optical out to get the true 5.1 through my pc's surround sound. However, with all of it setup and plugged in i get anomalies. When the ps3 is turned on it cracks and buzzes through all the 5.1 sound output and noises from games etc, the stereo music and menu sounds work absolutely fine. Within the sound setup menu for optical it had:
Dolby Digital 5.1
DTS 5.1
AAC
Linear pcm 2 channel etc.
I had the first 3 enabled as i thought the d2x would work with this, but to no avail, ive since tried using one of each of the above and again nothing but noise until theres some stereo sound.
Anybody got any ideas?
