Hello, I have now got my 5850 folding in another PC. The other PC is in a spare room at the other side of the house. I have no monitor available to use on it 24/7 so I was wondering if there was any way to monitor it's folding using HFM on my laptop?

If so please tell how to do it?

Thanks!

Of course! On the PC without a monitor, you'll need to go to the F@H directory and share it on the network. Then in HFM, go to add a new client like normal and in the path either navigate to the shared folder, or manually type it in. (ex \\computername\fah\).That's it, really.

If using Windows 7:

Go to the folder where you have F@H. Let's say it's C:\fah\. Right-click on the fah folder, click properties. Click on the Sharing tab. Click Share and a box will pop up. It will ask you to choose people to share the folder with. You can either click the dropdown and select Everyone, or select your specific user account. I recommend you use Everyone so you don't have to use any passwords. Then click Share at the bottom, and that's it.

Now in HFM, in the space where you have the path, either click the "..." to browse for it, or manually type it in. If the computer name is Ravious-PC and you have it in C:\fah, then it would look like "\\Ravious-PC\fah\"

If you've shared it correctly, go to My Computer then down the side panel look for network, click the drop down arrow and find your other PC and the folder should be in there.
