Hey people, I bought myself a s/h Mach II
at the weekend and wanted to run a few things by you all so that I can get things set up right from the start.
First off, at what precise time do you connect the USB lead to the USB motherboard header? Is it before or after the Mach II installation program has been run?
ATM the USB motherboard header is not free, it is being used to enable case front USB ports, could I not connect the USB lead to a USB male plug and route this lead out the back of my case and into a free USB port on the back I/O panel? Has anyone tried this and succeeded? I can foresee no problems here, as long as the USB plug remains in the same USB port then Windows will recognize it every time the system boots, in fact this is much the same as plugging in other hardware such as scanners, web-cams, etc. when first installing the respective device.
The anti-condensation heat pad which sticks to the back plate - what would be a safe adhesive to use to re-stick one of the corners back on?
That's all for now, there'll be much more later! LOL
