US government launches $9m cyber security center

The US government is promising a more coordinated approach to cyber attacks, with the creation of a new $9 million cyber security center.

Hasn't done many of the things he was said to be claiming to do b4 getting into office, why not spend cash on a cyber system and fill it with chicks.

$9m ? Way to spend that cash !

Smaller than $9m ? My god, I'm surprised these concerned agencies are just contracting out to get it cheaper.
 
LOL that picture makes me laugh. Exactly what are they expecting to see on all those bar graphs, pie charts and streams of matrix-style data on those screens :p

If you want your new $9m cyber security center to be taken seriously, don't make it look like a cheezy datacentre in an american disaster movie.

ISP can already tell u that, give u graphs and stuff. A m8 of mine used to work (not sure if he still does) with the ntl tech and used to email me my usage.

Probably like one of those old chess games where u would press the space bar and graphs etc would come up when the boss walks in.

WoW on the screens usually I spect.

it was actually £30m, i thought the OP was $9 billion, not $9 million.
 
Makes u wonder also as the US army have a cyber division that they've used during the last 10 years of conflicts. As do the FBI and u can imagine what the CIA have considering their blank-cheque guide to watching the eastern block.

.. then $9m is required to build something that maybe they can show off.

Who's watching what ? Keeping an eye on the referees of Man Utd games to see if they get payments electronically for allowing enough time for them to get back into a game ?
