Hey guys,
With the recent news of the new 300 series cards coming out from AMD, is it a good time to buy a card now?
I've currently got a HD 7850 and have the itch for something newer, faster, better... :D
I came across a nice USED R9 290X with a Aquacomputer Kryographics full cover block and backplate pre-attached. It is a reference card. The price point on it seems very fair (275 CDN).
Do I pull the trigger on this and put together a nice liquid cooling setup, or should I wait for prices to fall across the board and wait for a sale for something new?

If you plan on putting the card under water then you probably won't find a better deal around than that tbh. If you want brand new then it depends on budget:)

@Excalabur50, Thanks. But this card would be almost half the cost of a 390x.. I dont think it is worth the price gap is it?

Yeah I thought so. I wouldnt MIND putting the card under water. I just have no experience with water cooling other than an H110 for my CPU. But closed loop systems are easy. ;)
My biggest question is ... Should I go with this? Or should I wait a few months and let prices drop and buy something better?..
If I were to go with this card though... Can anyone help me out with what I would need to get some cooling done to it? Or should I post in the water cooling forum?
Thanks!

For half the cost you are getting the block and the gpu.. only thing you are missing is another 4GB of vram and then buying another block. So you could potentially get two and still get it much cheaper tbh.

Prices will fall after a week or two of Fury lineup of cards are released as prices are set then adjusted to competitor's and etc. I am just waiting on Fury X and a small price drop. That's the plan at least.
