Upgrading a Rig

Hello,
I currently have a machine with the following specs:
Processor: Intel Core i-3 2100 @ 3.1 Ghz
Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX 260 SOC Eddition
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68MA-DH2-B3
RAM: 1x 4GB Corsair Vengance Full Profile
Storage: 160GB Western Digital SATA 2 HDD
PSU: OCZ Mod Xtreme Pro 500W
Case: Coolermaster Storm Stryker
Screen: HP LE2201w 1680x1050

And thats about all you need to know. I have about 160GBP to spend on a upgrade, my current concern is for the quality of the PSU as it was nto very expensive, and the cables are clearly not made for a full tower case as many of them barely reach. The PC is used for everyday tasks, along with gaming, which it copes with fine on 90% of games.
Storage is manageable, and perhaps for the best as it means I have to keep the machine clutter free.
Also the machine will most likely be slowly upgraded over time, so any upgrade should be fairly compatable with upcoming tech.
So I was wondering where would be the best place to upgrade, and hoped the forum could help me out.
Thanks.

The HD7850 would give you the biggest boost in performance IMO. You will be able to find a few different ones in your budget range. And the PSU will work just fine with a HD7850. Are you planning on upgrade the monitor to 1080p, because that will be the biggest factor in deciding between the 1gb and 2gb versions.

Be sure to throw in an SSD for your next upgrade. HUGE boost for the day to day tasks :P

Thanks, will think about it, never had any experiance with AMD cards before, at least not in time they have been amd not ATI
