No you need a benchmark to be utterly independant of user control. In fact if it was possible to over-ride control panel settings I'd recommend that too (to stop the mipmap cheating).

Otherwise a benchmark that's user adjustable is about as useful as Fraps. i.e not very for comparitive purposes.

I think 3d mark is going to release the new version of the benchmark for dx 11

Hmm when the next lot of DX11 cards come out, looks like I'll have to scrape together for new GFX

Early benchmarks look simply EYEPOPPING and UNBELIEVEABLE.. finally, i think I would also have to upgrade my graphics card
