Unable to Find Drivers During Windows Installation

Hello guys,

Need your help big time. I have recently bought a PC for my grandparents which consists of a AMD APU (FM1), Asus F1A75-M mobo, Mushkin Chronos SSD, and all the other usual stuff.

When I have come to install Windows 7 x64 onto the SSD, it hasn't found the drive. I though that's fine because it happened on my main rig. So instead I have put in a WD Green 1TB HDD to install Windows onto there just to get something going.

Everytime it searches for a drive to install the OS onto, it always pops up saying to find the drivers so it can detect a drive. I have put in my disk that came with the mobo but it doesn't want to find anything. I have downloaded some AMD AHCI drivers but it doesn't want to install the driver at all.

I am starting to wonder if there is anything wrong with the mobo. I did start to PXE boot to install Windows 7 but it popped up saying to have the network driver in WDS.

Please can someone shed some light as I have been at this for hours. It has taken up most of my day so far so I am a little annoyed.

Thanks in advance guys.

verify in the BIOS that the SSD is is available and in ACHI mode.
also plug the SATA data cable to a corresponding port (non 3rd party)
and verify power plug to device.

if the BIOS picks it up, and the install doesn't factor it, you possibly are in a third part connector
as the install doesnt have the drivers to support the rest of the install. hence its picking up
the USB external drive.
