UMPC's Get Vista Makeover

Will Vista and the Origami Experience help to make UMPC's more attractive to consumers; particularly considering the problems that have plagued them in the past? Feel free to comment below...

No it won't, the UMPC was a failure because it was to big to replace a PDA but didn't offer enough functionality to replace a laptop. It was therefore relegated to being carried as well as a PDA/Smartphone and a laptop. No one would want to do this considering they had all the functionality they could need on the other devices.

we use the samsung Q1 at work for testing wireless signals etc. Bit of a waste really.

Probably Diablo or something like that, but imagine what the 100% CPU usage would do to the battery life.

Also I think the resolution on them is only 640x480 correct me if I am wrong.

nah, think there 1024 by 768. The Q1 has a 900mhz cpu. not sure what type.
