Well, the pricing on AMD's site for the 100 series Opties has been removed.Looks like we either have the 100 series Opties finally being discontinued or a precursor for something else. We shall see soon (maybe).

i think amd got annoyed cos they were never meant to desktop use, and some smart ass realised they clock well. the whole "amd are amazing for giving us this beautiful c heap brilliantly clocking chip" views are non founded

Well they talked about discontinuing 100 series opties quite some time ago. Looks like they're finally getting around to doing it. No biggie though, amd will please us clockers with something new and exciting soon I'm sure. The Opty godlikeness only lasted for the first few batches anyhow, all of the new ones are binned like the rest of the single core a64's.
