Approx 14oz Welsh black steak fillet - peppered - (only think close to a longhorn to find in UK anywhere - tried extensively) cooked til just after no-red..

Good strong helping of peas..

Half pack of pre-sliced Irish mushrooms..

Mass of "new" oven chips extra thick cut ala their skins..

Cooked with lo-salt, lo-anchor, GARLIC everywhere, bit of something..

Bottle of Hardy`s Cabernet Savi. (half drank whilst cooking >.<)

........

ack, well done steak, you ruined it!! the proper way to cook a steak is to sear both sides and it should be just luke-warm in the middle and not even nearly "cooked". you lose all the flavor by doing it up ur way, bad bad bad!!

steak should still be mooing at you from your plate as you cut in to it.

Aaargh, I`m only just getting used to not nuking them >.<

Can bearly stand blooded lamb tbh.

Medium rare tbh. Thin layer of pink in the middle with no blood and full flavor on the outside. mmmmm and im going to Firemountain tomorrow which serves GREAT steaks. (and hot waitreses COUGH) lol

I've got steak today, intead of my Roast :D

Love it Rare :D

Got to have it with some blood, or you lose the flavour, and it becomes a old boot.

Depending on the quality of the meat:

Crap meat: well done

Decent meat: medium rare

Good meat: rare with some good french mustard

Comes to something when a chef can tell u what u should like :p

What they like is pretty irrelevant, although lots of people will pay alot of money to agree with them.

Aye but I am saying I agree with them - cooking a steak above medium takes out a whole load of the flavour that just drains away on the griddle

In u`r opinion of course.

Griddle eek.

No not in my opinion - the juices drain away onto the driddle/pan...whatever it is...you can actually see them go

We used to have a lush BBQ-like griddle at one of the places I worked :)

Yes in u`r opinion the flavor drains away.

Use a griddle and alot of stuff drains away. I use a pan mehself keep everything together whilst it`s cooked.
