I spoke to them and they said send them back with a proof of purchase for replace since I lost the invoice is there other way to proof it ?

where did you buy them? if it was online, is there any kind of order history you can access? or ask the retailer to resend the confirmation email?

If it was from an online retailer, surely they will need you to have an account with them, Log in, contact customer service and ask for their invoice.

Another method is to RMA via your retailer. I don't know how it's done at your place, but over here, the shop retailers place a warranty sticker unto our hard disk, which usually has the date of purchase tagged. With that, it's possible you RMA it through your retailer.

Good luck!

I don't see why they would need a invoice at all proving when you bought it,especially if it's a newer driver. I have not sent back a drive for awhile now but they used to go by when the drive was made which is usually on the label on the drive it's self.

As long as the 3/5 year warranty falls inside of that date then they have to take it back, shouldn't matter if you purchased it or found it laying in the street. If it is dead or comes up with their error codes you get a new drive.

And as others have said if you bought it online they should have your invoice saved for you in your order history. If you bought it from a local pc shop they should also still have you on file, but if you got it from a major store like best buy then you are probably out of luck.

Seagate HDD's have a 5 year warranty against fault, well here in Aus anyway. If you're not getting any satisfaction from the seller then I'd approach Seagate directly. They have the course of action required laid out in their Knowledge Base
