Hey guys Ive been asked by a couple people to post pics of my new bike I picked up today, its a 2009 Model (but new) Marin Wolf Ridge 6.8, its very similair to the colour of MNR. The base orange is a smidgin darker but it has a fair bit more pearl in it. Its not a bike to be shy on..... PERFECT!

Very very nice TTL, i'm certain you will be happy with it! Marin frames are super nice and built TOUGH.
 
Think I might keep the ransom for a bit. Going out this avo with the shock pump to get it all set up, rides nice out the box though!
 
Very nice, what sort of riding do you do? I was tempted to get a full susser but ended up with a hardtail. Pretty pleased in the end since I don't get to the tough stuff anywhere near often enough.
 
Its all alu and is very very nice to ride. Absolutly flys up hill but chews through the bumps and technicle stuff. Very light and nippy, very well planted through the turns. Think
 
Nice :D Love that colour too.

I rode MBs for a few years but my heart was always with BMX. Got a new one about 4 months back but haven't ridden it much yet because my back has been awful.

And Marin do the best coloured bikes ever. I had a Muirwoods when I was a kid in bright yellow. Thing is that usually would have been awful but because it was a Marin it just looked even better :D
 
Ive had a good few expensive bikes tbh, its what I used to sink all my money into. Quite looking forward to tearing it up on this one actually!
 
Not knowing anything about makes of bikes, I can only comment on how it looks, and I must say I like it! Not usually a massive fan of orange, but that colour is lush! The frame shape is pretty alien to me, but then I've only ever ridden road bikes.
 
That colour is Tangello Pearl. It's really expensive lol.

They painted a VW bus that colour on Wheeler Dealers a wee while back. Almost painted one of my cars that colour but went with raspberry kamelon pearls (house of kolor).
 
Im a sucker for colours, which is kinda easy to see with the mods Ive done. So when I saw this it seemed a much better idea than a 2010 model thats boring white!
 
Marin make a bike in white? damn.. That's totally not their usual M.O.

Yeah would deffo go for orange and you probably bagged a bargain too getting the year before model.
 
List price is £2200, I paid £1500. Have got £600 of upgrades coming though! Shimano Saint breaks all round, Staightline chainguide and 40t single ring, plus crank brothers seat post thats gas charged, its not suspension but you can pull a leaver and change the height without getting off, perfect for putting the saddle down for descents!
 
Yeah see? Buying the latest year model is just crazy. When I got my bike (that Kuwahara ET thing I put a pic of) I got it for £150. The 2010 was £200 and actually specced worse. It was also in baby blue and looked totally gee.

Funny though, every one I know from the IOW is either into serious MB and or fishing :D
 
That's not a bad price at all for that bike, looks well equipped for the price. Hell my Team DH frame cost nearly as much as that whole bike and that was 10 years ago!
