Anyway, I use a touch screen. Laptop I use for work is an Itronix XC-6250. Nearly bulletproof P133/32Mb with 8" greyscale touch screen. The display is easy to view in bright direct sunlight and the touchscreen is great for quick sketches of jobsite layout. Handwriting recognition is pretty poor though...1996 technology.

All in all a great machine for the work I do and total investment for the laptop, extra pcmcia ata flash drives, pcmcia hdd's, portable printer, nic card, car mount, extra battery, and power supplies is about $100US.

sounds ideal for you....but not for your average day to day work. those things cost thousands...... i would much rather have dual monitors..the idea of that makes me drool hehe
