I'm just excited personally that they confirmed this is the first native 64bit total war game, which to me is the more exciting news. Or at least that's why they are implying in there press release. Hopefully that helps with performance since its free to use more resources. Hopefully they support mGPU as well, needing a 980to/FX for 1080p ultra is extremely demanding.

Don't hold your breath

They made a complete mess of Attila Total War and have no intention of fixing it.

That was also a 32bit native engine but supported 64bit.. and Idk why people say that game is unoptimized. The benchmark isn't even close to what you get in the actual game. In the benchmark I get an avg of ~50fps but it is all over the place whereas in game campaign I get 60-75 depending on zoom level and in battle it's never goes below 30 for massive battles and for normal ones about 45. Pretty good if you ask me. Not much to fix. mGPU support needs to be fixed but TW never really played nice with that

Try and run it @2160p with max settings.

Last time I tried it on a Fury X it was a 2fps stutterfest.

No one in there right mind would run TW at 4k seriously. 1440p is a stretch with previous versions of the engine. 64bit support should allow it to access more memory and keep the extra processing down to a minimum since more can now be stored in memory:)

RTW2 runs well on NVidia cards maxed @2160p as it has very good SLI support.

Unfortunately the game devs could not be bothered to do the same for Attila.

It could be drivers as well. They run on the exact same engine, the EE of R2 is the same one they used to build Attila with. Either way 4k tw is not common at all. Especially with mGPU being needed.

I just hope the 64bit native support really helps with performance. Idk if you saw the Dwarf video recently but did you notice the turn times? It was blazing fast! Never happened before with previous games(all of them). 64bit support should prove useful in turn times and AI which are two areas most commonly complained about with TW. Hopefully this support can aid in helping better MGPU support(mainly for Xfire) as they recently haven't given Xfire any love(R2/Attila) unlike Nvidia. Don't know if that's drivers or whatever but still
