I'll be honest, I don't like playing as the Vampire Counts. I find their lack of ranged units annoying. That being said Tomb Kings has me excited.

Total War: Warhammer II is probably one of my most played games this year. Love it. Not sure who my favourite race is, maybe the Dwarves or Bretonnia.

I know what you mean re lack of ranged, I have some mods on that address that issue so now have some skeleton archers and artillery, they feel much more fleshed out with addons.

Looking at the TK faction I really hope they include the archers and screaming skull catapult. I already know this will be my favourite and go to faction

Vampires with ranged? Yikes that ruins them for me.

I'll wait to pre order this. Seems pretty damn expensive for 4 LLs with basically all the same rosters with the only difference being start locations. They don't have a mini campaign for it because most people don't want it but to charge the same amount as if it did because they added 2 LLs? Seems greedy tbh.

So far I really only care for Bretonnia, Dwarves, and Empire. Not sure if another dead army interests me.

Only get the ranged from conquering Bretonia and then they are pretty poor even compared to peasant bowmen but I wanted to get close to what I was able on the table.

Hell yeah, definitely looking forward to this one (even if i'll only have 3 days to play it before Monster Hunter World comes out and i have to gravitate to the console dark side for a while).

Love the Tomb Kings lore, and they look like they'll be a hell of a lot more fun to play than the Vamp's. I know some people like them, but i agree on the lack of ranged units being annoying.

We'll see if they can beat out Dwarfs as my favourite army to play...

Not sure if I like that idea. It is one of the features that makes then unique to play as of fight against. Completly changes the dynamic if they get ranged units.

Yes, but they are effectively getting their own mini-campaign in the Vortex Campaign, with a totally unique mission structure that is unrelated to the Great Vortex of Ulthuan.

While extra legendary Lords and Start locations do not sound like much, there is a lot of balance considerations to be made when it comes to abilities and impact to other factions. Then there is CA's usual free-LC that released around the same time as a new paid DLC. Also, even without a mini-campaign, the faction needs to be added to the two main campaigns anyway.

The pricing is justified IMHO, considering how different each of the factions are in Warhammer. It's not like a historical game where everyone is human and mostly uses the same technology. I would like it to be cheaper, but it is at least worthy of consideration.

This is just my own opinions here, not saying anyone is wrong for thinking otherwise. Like all DLC it is up to the user to define what is acceptable.

Price is to steep is just my opinion. I've seen others view some concern as well as to why it's double the price of Norsca despi the fact it's merely 2 more LLs.

Quick update.

Here is the Vortex Campaign's updated campaign map for the game's Tomb Kings Expansion.
