Quick question. Whats the maximum Vcore i sould run my 3200 at for 24/7 use?

Ive been running it at stock (1.4v) @ 2.5ghz for a good few weeks now. Atm Im at 1.65v @ 2.8ghz, ITE has a fit when i launch it...

Its on water cooling for those who don't know.

Cheers in advance.

Hmm, I personally think that's a tad high. I tend to think that .2v over stock should be the max unless you're on phase. Probably should get a more experienced opinion though

The max i took my Opteron 146 up to was 1.6v. I'd knock it back to there and make sure your temps stay below 55oc (ish) load

Okie cheers guys. Its back at 2.5 @ 1.4v atm. as i can run that at 1:1 with my g.skill with no problem atall. My bios' voltage options are a little random and go from 0.8 to 1.55 in steps of 0.025v (i think it is). Then jumps from 1.55 to 1.65, 1.75 and 1.85.

I think i may leave it untill i get my chiller underway next year some time.

Yeah your best with DFI to go for a lover vcore and use the % increase. I went for something like 1.4 x 113% to get to 2.8GHz

1.65v is safe on water, dont worry. I ran that for almost 6 months with no problems on my first 3200+ under air.

But it's not gonna hurt if he can is it? :)

no it doesnt but the performance lag that comes with amd32 and intel when running fsb and memory out of sync isnt a problem with amd64 so i dont se any reason to back off the cpu speed just to get 1:1.

more speed to the people :wavey:

No...but if he can...then why not - is my point...I know a fair amount about A64 and he WILL get some performance gain...even if it is minimal ;)

Kemps right. On my old 3500 @ 2.5ghz on a devider its took 2s longer than 2.4 1:1 (Spi1m).

Im aware however that real wold performance thats nt much atall...

Also since running my mem 1:1 ive had ALOT less crashes.
