To Upgrade or not to upgrade

I wasn't sure where to post this so I put it in off topic. Im thinking about upgrading but I wanna know what you guys think. I want a DFI mobo with PCI express damn it!

My Current Setup

MSI K8N Neo2 Plat

6800 Ultra

AMD 64 3500+

2 gigs ram

I am either going to order a DFI LP nforce 4 board and a 7800 GTX, or a new monitor. My monitor now is a 15" Samsung LCD thats about 5 years old. If I order the new board and graphics card, im just gonna reuse everything else I have now (processor, RAM, etc.) Am I stupid for wanting to upgrade? What do you guys think? New mobo and card or monitor?

btw - Don't really have a problem with my monitor right now. No ghosting even though its old.

i think you should go new mobo and 7800gtx mate

I'd say the new monitor and save the mobo and gfx card until later. You want a good monitor to be able to game on with your new gear

I'd say don't listen to these guys^^, and wait. That system kicks-ass by today's standards. Wait till the 8xx card's come out in 6 month's. It'd be SOOOO stupid to upgrade now, as you have a 6800U! The new AMD platform will be out within a few months to a year, same with new video cards. By then, you will need different RAM. So...just wait.

yeah i agree in a way with nick but if you wait you have to spend more money because of new kinda ram and mobo + cpu

I agree with Austin...a new monitor will change the way you game. I luuurve my TFT
