So some nice shiny news of the upcoming Titan successor has been spotted.

The new monster GPU will be built on the GM200 die unlike the 800 series which will come in on the GM204 die.

According to various sources and a truck ton of salt the "Titan" of a GPU will feature 4000 CUDA cores, Maybe a 512bit bus and be with us in either the 1st or 2nd quarter of 2015 and will be built using the Maxwell architecture on the 28nm manufacturing process.

More about Maxwell Here and the man behind the name Here.

Pricing has not yet been spotted but expect it to be in the £1000 price range as per the previous Titan.

Nice find dude, was literally about to write something up on this. You are really keeping me on my toes these days lol.

Lol I was going to say your getting news up before the news guru himself these days. :P

To expensive for me is all I can say lol.

I thought that PCB photos were GTX 880's (Ti) not Titan 2's... so which is it ?
My link/source : LINK

PS. I bet that third power connector is for ES sample/prototype sample only.

We shall find out more in the coming months, Anything posted now is speculation at best as there is no solid information floating around.

4000 maxwell cores would be faster than a Titan Z. because 4000 * 0.35 = 1400 + 4000 = 5400. within 300 cores of Keplers Titan Z plus if it's on 512bit, more ram, less heat so higher clocking.

3200 cores is what i'm guessing on a Gm200 graphics card. because that alone is 30% percent faster than a 2560 core Gm204. I doubt we'll see 4000 cores till late 2015, and probably on TSMC 16nm+

I may have to go with AMD this round just out of principal. If we keep buying these $1000+ single GPU cards, I'm very afraid it'll become the norm quickly for all flagship cards. $500+ for the 680. $600+ for the 780. $700+ for the 780ti. Get ready for $800-$900 GPUs (excluding the "Titan" SKU).

The Titan when it first came out was around £1000 and has since decreased in price, You have to remember the Titan line of cards are not purely for gaming, They are cheap compute cards with the added benefit of being able to game on them

New Maxwell will offer crossing on higher resolution for me.
I mean on GM210 Classified ACX 8GB, 512bit with high fabric OC.
Not because memory. I mean on performance. Card will offer same performance at 2560x1440p as Titan Black on 1920x1080.
That's nice, transfer on higher resolution with single card can start.
