If that's the case I would suggest avoiding these budget GPUs. All that will happen is you will upgrade your monitor, then want a better GPU.

I would suggest saving up a little more and getting a 390. This would cover you all the way up to 1440p.

PSU will be fine I reckon so long as you don't go overclocking it hard.

Otherwise? then I would go with what Barnsley suggested, but I just see those cards like MacDonalds. You eat, ten minutes later you are hungry again.

it would take me an extra bit of time to save for the 390, i also need to buy ram with the money im getting, im not in any rush to go and get a 21:9 monitor just yet, think i will stick with one of the 3 cards i am considering, i wouldnt be overclocking i dont think

The 380 and the 960 aren't "budget" cards, they are midrange ones.

I'd go with the Nitro, get the RAM you need and wait for new GPUs for a future upgrade, in case you will need it.

Not to me they're not. Mid range cards now are the R9 390 and 970. High end cards are Fury, Fury X, Titan X and 980ti.

Wallet size depends on each one, that's true

But real "budget" cards are those under 100$, the ones you usually find on prebuilt PCs.

I'd say:

<100$ budget
100$-150$ low-mid end
150$-250$ midrange
250$-400$ high end
400$-700$ very high end
700$+ extreme

Prices are in USD since it's the most used currency in this market (well, in most markets).

Get the 380 over the 960. It's a much more capable card. 960 is trash if I'm honest. With nvidia anything below the 970 is basically worthless compared to amd

hm... I have to disagree. I've installed 2 960's in different systems and they are very capable cards for 1080p. although i would probably avoid that blower style one.

For the money they are trash. The 380 is faster and generally the same price. 960 needs to be cheaper. Then the 380x is hardly any more and really puts it to shame. Anything below a 970 for team green is pretty much not worth it.

I recommend them for some HTPCs that are also occasionally used for games etc.

They are relevant, granted the AMD alternative does give you more bang for buck. Too bad no HDMI 2.0

Furys got DP to HDMI 2.0 but just disappointing that it doesnt come with one built in.
