Thoughts on AX760i

I decided to go with the Corsair AX760i to check out the new technology and wanted to get others thoughts on the digital series. I will be overclocking the 3770k and either gtx 680 or 7970. Also eventually custom watercooled setup for the cpu and gpu. I used the PSU calculators and recommended me get a 566 watt psu so I went with the 760i over the 860i cause I am not a fan of sli cause I only run 1 screen and not a fan of multi-screen set ups (plus no room in my current office for more screens).

I think 860i is little better PSU, I'm not sure.
I would choose AX750 or AX760 not i.
I totally do not understand what you are saying mate ?!
their all great PSU's and a 850w is just more wattage....

And the i is the latest series why don't you like those ?!

Greetings, Ray..........

I say I'M NOT SURE but I think one of them use some other non Japan caps and second Nippon Chemi-Con, off course models without i have 2x times better fan Sanyo Denki San Ace and rest have Yate Loon, difference is not little.
I would love Electrolytic capacitor from Japan because they are best.

Im not sure what you are trying to say. The psu is platinum rated and a 7 year warrenty with newest technology how would the 860 be better then the 760 if you did not need the power.

thanks tom and SnW

Thanks for the info once I get home to build the system and play around with it I will put up my thoughts on the powersupply as well as a few other parts going into the rig.

what can you ask about it the AX760i can hold 2x680s so its more than enough.thats for wattage.now the components inside are the best used.7 years warranty what do you want more.i would buy a 550W seasonic or corsair to have the maximum efficiency in load.couse u say that you wont use sli/cf

It all depends on the next gen of graphic cards. If they are far better then sli 670's then i will prob upgrade. If they are slightly better I do not see the point. I still prefer single graphic card gaming but there is no way im buying a $1000 card.
