Thinking About Upgrading my Current Case

Hello all,

As the title says,

I'm using a Fractal Design Define S atm while i love the case but i would like to go back to a larger case, now let me explain the reason why i want to go back to a lager case is because i'm using the EK Predator 360 AIO which i love this AIO IMO it's the best AIO on the market and i have no interest in changing it either the biggest problem is that 95-98% of cases on the market have over hang when you mount the AIO in the roof.

Now here lies my problem i want to buy a case that doesn't have over hang i have got two cases in mind the EVGA DG-87 case or the CaseLabs Merlin SM8 but i think the EVGA is going to have over hang issues as well so i'm kinda left with one choice, I'm not really interested in the Corsair 900D case cause IMO it doesn't have very good air flow also to me the design of the 900D is so dated now.

Basically what i'm looking for from a case is that everything has it's own area and nothing over hangs, The reason why i love the CaseLabs so much is cause it's not made in China plus i'm kinda over buying cases that are made in China.

Thanks all.

TBH the Caselabs and the EVGA are pretty much polar opposites when it comes to looks.

If I lived in the USA I would have a Caselabs. Possibly more than one. They are kinda common though, if that irks you.

TBH dude it doesn't bother me if CaseLabs are common now i don't think there that common in Australia only 1 shop carries them here but that also create another problem do i buy it from the store or buy it direct from CaseLabs themselves, I know the wait time is huge on CaseLabs like months but i can wait.

I just feel like i have no other choice when it comes to cases i can't think of any other "Large" can't that doesn't have any over hang, I have looked at other "Large" case and i just don't like the look them now take the 900 to me now that case looks like a POS.

Also another problem is too that case makers don't even think about the EK AIO they only think about the crappy asetek coolers (yes i know i maybe the only person on this forum who thinks like that) so i blame them too.

Why do I always think you are in the USA? even though it says Australia next to your name lol.

The EVGA looks nice but after seeing it unboxed etc it looks a little cheap.

What do you mean by overhang? The AIO covers the motherboard or that the res/pump is sticking out too far to the side to fit neatly?

The EVGA looks cool and I like the one way mirror kind of display but at some angles the photos remind me of an old rear projection TV.

I know you love EVGA gear but you've been wanting a Caselabs for so long I think you owe it to yourself to get one. Plus as you said you're really only down to one choice that fulfills all your needs. How good will it be to get it made exactly how you want it.

What i mean bye over hang is where the motherboard is covering up the top part of the motherboard so the ROG motherboards where do they put the DeBug LED at the top so it makes the DeBug useless.

All i want from a case is so every part has it's own area so nothing gets covered up, This is what i mean why spend like $400 on a motherboard and have some of it covered up.

The reason why i love CaseLabs is cause of Jayz so i have only been really in love with CaseLabs stuff for the last 12 months.

If you can budget for a Caselabs, get a Caselabs..
Money is usually the only limiting factor against a Caselabs these days (and availability, but if you say you have a supplier, then just do it)

You won't need much else once you've got one.

Budget is not really an issue, There's a shop here that sells them but i don't like how much of a mark up there done on it, So i'm going to find out how much it's going cost from CaseLabs themselves if i can save some money buy going direct and cutting out the middleman the money is better in my pocket then there's.

Either way there's a wait time anyway so not really that much of a difference with that, I know the wait will be worth it.

Then you've answered your own question, just get a Caselabs

Yep i have, I will find out tomorrow what the shipping price is going to be.

I still think i'm going to buy it directly from CaseLabs cause the local place here doesn't stock the Gun Metal Grey all they stock is the black case, This time i kinda want something different i had black & white cases over the years but never really had the chance of owning a Gun Metal Grey case before.
