Thermochill Performance

Just a real quick question for those of you that use the Thermochill radiators...........:) I just ordered a PA120.3 yeasterday to replace my old Swiftech MCR220 in my current loop. What sort of performance increase do you think this new radiator will bring.

I guess it really doesn't matter as the radiator is on it's way, but I've wanted one of these from the day they were released, but they are extremely expensive here in the states, almost twice the price of a Swifty triple rad.............

Just my CPU, E4300......;)

Simple loop with a MCP655 pump and a "T" line and the radiator and a APOGEE block.

Video has it's own little loop.

If its just the CPU being cooled I'd be surprised if you saw any noticeable difference tbh :\

Have a look at this.

It starts as a push/pull q but ends up with pa vs many rad comparison thread... I think you will see a drop in temps albeit a small one

Agreed, it is considerable overkill for CPU cooling only.

I've been know for going way overboard on my water cooling............:D I'm basicly retired and messing with my water cooling is just my big hobby, gives me something to do instead of helping the wife around the house...............

I think your living most of our dreams...

Ah, so you're the one who influenced IanY (at XS) to be crazy (6 DDC+ pumps with petra's top, 2 PA120.3 for CPU). The PA120.3 might drop temps a tiny bit. However, that block and pump seriously need a replacement more than your rad (and I'm not saying need, none of them need swapping really :))

Just ordered a APOGEE GTX yeasterday, that should be more than enough I think, my old APOGEE has been in constant use from the day Swiftech released them (before actually), it's been in need of a upgrade for a while now.

you know I can't wait to say those words :D

To be honest, it's not all personal choice, one to many helicopter crashes while I was in the Army combined with a few other issues made for a early exit from the work force. But I am enjoying the easier life even if the cash flow isn't what it used to be.
