thermal pad thickness ? (6970)

whats the thermal pad thickness on the 6970's memory ? , i would like to put new pads on when i replace the TIM again so need to know which to buy .

also where is the best place to buy them (have to be white in colour)

I don't think thickness matters, from what I've seen it tends to be one size fits all.

For the brand maybe a Sekisui Thermal Tape? But in all seriousness changing the thermalpads won't do much unless you somehow damaged them.

You can also buy Akasa thermal adhesive tape from overclockers.

Thermal pad differnce makes a HUGE difference dude. God thats some really BAD advise there lol

If you use too thick pads you can get no contact on other points of the card and overheat components = dead card!

Theres actually 3 different thicknesses on the 6970 its a complete arse, even worse to put a waterblock on :/

Seriously though dude unless they have had it I wouldnt bother, just do the tim, you can stick a dab of time on the pads if you want to help them cool a bit better.
