The Witcher 3 Photorealism Mod gives the game a beautiful visual overhaul. We think it's worth a look.

Seems promising but does it impact performance? And one last question : Where to get this mod please?

You are doing well on holding off so far, don't do ittttt. :D

Honestly if it was 'my sort of' game i would have preordered it the lot, but i dont have the time to invest games like this.

Maybe if it goes on sale ill get it just look at pretty things, but even then its a maybe

I've played about 22 hour now and the game is very well put together and super in depth.
The story is extremely well written and voice acted, the graphics for the most part are very good and the world design, monsters, weaponry and levelling system are great.
I particularly love the mini game "GWENT" which is a collectable card game inside the Witcher world. I find my self going on missions just to beat people at gwent and win their special card.
I do however have a major gripe!
For me there have been a number of graphical glitches including floating NPC's, floating scenery and quests that are un-completable. In other words "the person who you interact with to do the mission is either not where they are meant to be or will simple not interact with you". This seems to have slipped the minds of most reviewers perhaps in part due to the 30fps/graphical fidelity issues on console being the general topic of discussion.
If you compare these issues to that of Assassins creed Unity I personally think they are about on par. Yes the Unity game had a few more glitches including problems with water and so on and so forth, but it seems #CDProjektRed have managed to get away with it by making everything else utterly brilliant.

If you like deeply filled story lines and mind twisting character plots buy the Witcher 2 first and then play this through after. Not only will your appreciation of the story be enhanced but you will also get a better grasp of what the hell is going on.

Finally Id like to say that I know Cybepunk 2077 is going to be the next big project from #CDProjektRed and without a doubt I will be pre-ordering it as soon as it come available, "and I have never pre-ordered a game in my life".

Hope this was helpful. Kind regards
Deano

Great points there Sixdean, my main issue with Witcher 3 is that having beasted my way through the first 2 games and having the save games on my system... why oh why do I have to start the skills trees from 0 all over again!?! Did Geralt receive a knock to the head since the events in Vizema... has he suffered amnesia in some way?? It dawned on me last night after I hit level 8, for those of us that have been Witchers before it's like groundhog day. Seems a huge oversight to me.

You're the only person I have seen with that issue. I get a rare glitch where an object is floating. Only seen it twice in nearly 30 hours of gameplay. Never had quest issues.

Ya that was a little annoying, but to be fair the tree is much different so I think they would have given you the ability points instead but you would pretty much be done with half the tree if you were top lvl in Witcher 2. Would kinda ruin the grind a little ya'know?

Edit: As with all current mods for the Witcher 3. They are on Nexus and in order to download them must be a "free member". In fact when you try to register, you MUST choose a subscription in which you pay to download mods. But the way around it.. just click continue at the bottom and you'll skip that part. So happy modding!;)

True but you could have the option to have the experience from the previous game and only be able to continue in the harder settings ;)

Nexus is free, just don't select any of the subscriptions and continue, I joined last night for the graphics tool.

Nice one bud, I've not even looked at the SweetFX bits yet as I'm more than happy with my frames and settings, just had it side by side with my mates PS4 and even at medium PC settings it's so noticeable who the master race are :D

That looks the Mutts :o I'm just looking at the vendor mod, fed up of vendors being broke and having to fast travel to another to sell stuffs.

It's awesome, The mod is around 40mb so it does a lot more than this featured mod and IMO looks a lot better as it's closer to the E3 trailer/ingame demo.

What specifically looks better Compared to the original and what's better in that than the photo realism one? Just wondering. Notice any fps hit?
