They really messed up with getting rid of the daily deals. Whenever there is a Steam sale going on now i just look through what they have on offer on day one, which tends to be usual suspects and then i don't go back.

Pretty sure last year they said after they removed the daily/flash deals they actually made more money because people had more time to look at those deals that catch there eye, which in turn meant more time for them to think about buying it, feeling the pressure of if that deal left, then them buying it. Although I did like the flash sales.. that's how i got some games super cheap that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise that I ended up loving. Prime example being Sins of the Solar Empire/Rebellion

Really not seeing anything worthwhile yet, or at a "Sale" price for that matter.
Sonic Franchise £38.99 on Steam or £6.75 on Humble Bundle....., Lego The Force Awakens £24.99 on Steam or £12.75 on CDKeys... Same crap every year, although GTA V, Doom and Fallout 4 are quite tempting prices compared to the other sites.
OMG! Thank you! I will now forever love you
Course it's not part of the sale though. Only like 10s of thousands of games and DLCs on sale, had to not be this one

I agree. I always check CDkeys for lower prices, and 90% of the time they have it lower. So I end up not buying because i know CDkey prices don't change often except for new releases

I wonder if some of the reason for removing flash sales is the refund policy. people buying the flash sale as it was a 1 chance offer and then regretting it and getting refunds

When was the steam refund policy updated? Was it before flash sales were removed or after? I'm curious now. Although I suspect this could be a big reason why
