The Linux command line, Bash, is coming to Windows 10, bringing native support to the windows platform which eliminated the need for any external tools or virtual machines.

I thought that when I watched the SQL Server 2016 keynote and they said SQL server coming to linux. You could have one many a bar beer bet from me before that as I would have sworn that Microsoft would never do that

I'm sure there'll be plenty of Linux fanboys throwing fits over this lol :D

On a more serious note though, bash is awesome. Back when I used Debian, I had tonnes of scripts to automate most stuff.

I got sick of desktop Linux for a finish, but I do use WinBash every now and then.
 
Excellent.

At the end of the day I can't help but feel all Microsoft are trying to do by all this new open source support is to draw people away from using Linux in any form. Not that it'll work but hey at least we get to benefit from the extra stuff.
