Lucky's Tale is incredible. Problem is, as fantastic as it is it just made me think "Wow, I wish I could play Mario Galaxy in VR !"*
*before I say anything else yes I am aware Dolphin runs it in VR but the author has done a bunk so it's far from what you would consider working..
The problem is after you do all of the free demo stuff you start to look for paid apps and you find that they are ridiculous prices and nothing special. The demos you get free are as good as any paid app. And it gets expensive, fast. A basic game is like £40.
And wearing it is not very comfy either.
It is well worth grabbing a DK2 for £150 just for all of the free goodness you can experience, but absolutely insane to go any farther or spend any more.
Dirt Rally is amazing, but the graphical quality drops so much it gives you eye strain after about 30 mins. Again, it's "not quite there" which seems to be a recurring theme with VR.
I really have no desire to use the touch controllers either. If I wanted to pick things up and put them away I would tidy my flat in real time.
