Think i'll wait for Volta unless prices drop considerably. Especially for a card that still isn't truly fully DX12 compatible + if the rumors are true is looking like there'll be no HBM2 on big Pascal.
And if you thought we had it bad on 1080 prices here. Spare a thought for the poor Ausies down under, 1080's are retailing for between $1200 and $1300 there
Here is some interesting info for you. We have announced prices of AIB here in Norway
all prices from komplett.no which is our biggest e-tailer
Reference (founders) 7600nok - £597.48
Asus rog strix - 7500Nok - £589.62
MSI Gaming X - 8099Nok - £631.53
EVGA w ACX 3.0 - 6599Nok - £518.79
And before you start calling them cheap remember our currency crashed and the pound gained strength. 8000Nok for a card is f*****g crazy. I think im skipping the entire Pascal series.
Maybe saying farewell to Nvidia for the first time in 10years
Having just had a look at OverlcockersUK prices they do start at £525 for a bare bones aftermarket card which is a bit more like it, but anything with half decent cooling starts at between £550 & £570.
Went live here in the states and almost instantly went out of stock. Can't find them anywhere now. People bashing Nvidia for charging so much for these cards, this is why, because they can and still sell them like hotcakes.
they just didnt make much to begin with. Nvidia provided 30 for the Benelux, out of those 60 belgium got 6. Out of those 6 we received 3... They just didnt had much to begin with which is imo the biggest problem..
