The Callisto Protocol's first PC patch greatly improves playability

According to the games director and Dead Space veteran Glen Schofield the wrong file was initially patched and sent out into the wild which is why they fixed the stuttering issue so quickly as they had the patch ready.

At least they admit a mistake was made.

happens. Unfortunately rushing around launch time is inevitable and stressful. This probably happens more than you'd think and at least they are honest about it.


At least they took ownership. CDPR just blamed their QA validators/testers to make themselves look better.

Yeah, sometimes we think that these companies shouldn't ever make mistakes because so much is riding on them. But in reality they're still humans. I had a lot of responsibility to fix something this morning, and it was very difficult. I did my best, but we still didn't get it quite right. We had prep time and everything; it's just the way it goes.
