The best mid-tower PC case?

I'm buying a gaming PC soon and I'm stuck on the cases. I am currently looking at the Corsair 550D but I am and will be open up to any recommendations. I don't want a full tower because I'm not watercooling just yet and I would buy a full tower when I really want to deck out my system. All I want is something that I can keep all of my parts in and not have to worry about the case breaking and the case not going with my modern decorations.

other cases to think of would be the 500R although IMHO you need to mod a window into it and the Fractal R4

I don't care too much about windows. Like I said that would be something that I look for when I upgrade.

i'd consider the Fractal Arc Midi. great air-cooled case, roomy, and later on when
you are looking to get into water-cooling, it is quite adaptable to a number of
radiator possibilities and not empty your wallet. with the right fans, can be very
quite, if that is a consideration. the 550D is a good caes, but later for water-cooling
most dump the case for another (because it is so difficult to rig).

My vote goes to the 500r.
EDIT a bit personal preference ...(have one myself)...

i like the 500R, but from all the candid pix, it looks "narrow" @ 8.1", and is that
including the side-panel bulges? i keep wanting to get one and just can't from the
frontal profile is soooo slim. the 200R is wider @ 8.3" and looks to be wider.
