Temps peaking

Hi

I have a quad core modded machIIgt and i am currently running my QX6700@ 3.3ghz, vcore@ 1.55v.When i run occt benchmarking program with 4 cores@100% the cpu temp as shown by speedfan is around -15c but after about 8 minutes the temp rises to about 0c and stays about there for 8 minutes or so then drops to around -15c again. The cores are running at 100% through out these temperature changes and it does this every time i run occt and always around the same time in the test.Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Don't run OCCT use CPC media benchmarks or run other realworld tests - I doubt if you will be in a position to use that sort of load in real world apps.

OCCT is a burning in tool.

But also current Quad cores pump out a lot of heat - so I am not surprised temps drops to zero - although software temp readers are only as good as the probes reporting the information.

What temp is shown on the evap of the mach unit?

I am useing occt to check the stability of my overclocked system but i will try cpc media benchmarks.I know quad cores pump out a lot of heat but i cant understand how with the same load the temps jump by about 15c and then drop again by 15c.

The temp on the evap remains at -56c all through the test.

Thanks for the help
