Just wanted to know is there really any diffrence between say the TekValue GTX and XFX?

A quick responce would be greatly appricated as im thinking of ordering soon :)

Well XFX likely spec up some of the components a bit and add extra clock speeds.

Personally I'd go with the cheapest as it's gonna be fine

lol too late :P, went with EVGA so i could get the stepup program ^^, and my brother got a Point of View GeForce 8800GTX 768MB, POV any good? (its "B-Grade" second hand or somthing like that from komplett, a nice discount lol) Thanks anyway tho :)

Got it from Komplett.co.uk, so i hope they do lol >< worth it even if i pay £10 postage to some other country lol ><

I have heard about the double Lifetime guarantee with XFX stuff.

Personally I like brand name stuff as a bigger company is usually easier for me to yell at than an unknown one. (at least when I sick the BBB or resellerratings on them I get results, lol)

Interesting you say that, i've ordered from them quite a few times, never had any problems - are they really that bad?

May wanna look at this too - overclockers are selling the 7800 GTX for under £300 quid now. Stock speeds, but watercooled i reckon it'd be super.

When I saw 7800 gtx for under £300 I was thinking 'what is this guy on' lol, 2 gens old, you could get an 8800 for that...

Lo and behold, it was an 8800gtx.

That is a fine price.

Take a look at the cowboys

Ah yeah sorry, it's too early for me i think  i mean't a 8800 GTX of course :D

Well I was thinking once if I were to get a GTX and I decided if anything that expensive I'd rather get an Ultra, it's a bit more money depending where you go but for a much better cooler, higher grade memory modules and better clocks, definatly worth it IMO.

And ya can say ya can OC the GTX to those speeds for nothing, but ya can OC the ultra even further :D

I picked a eVga 8800 GTS 320mb... but if i find it not pulling the weight i want, ill upgrade by november :) (step up ftw, yes it works in the uk)

Yeah? Fo sheezy? I'm registering my gts tonight then I'll step up!

Do you have details of the uk step up plan as last time I looked it was USA only

I have an Email from a UK eVga Representative that stated the step-up program is in effect in the UK.

apparently you just reg on the website and there will be an option.

WTF?!

Damnit, I could be On a 7800gt instead of 7600gs :( lol

quite a nice offer tho, strange to see a GPU manufacturer actually eing practical for once lmao.

Stepup - if u reg your card with the company within 30 days of retail, u are allowed to send you card in as part of the "Step up" program, within 90 of orginal order (the date on invoice) for a better card, and u will pay the diffrence between your cards orginal invoice price (or maybe retail?) and the price of the card you wish to upgrade to.
