TeamViewer is a great piece of software that allows you to remotely handle any computer in the world.

Simple to use and requires both computers to run the application.

Fast, reliable and free for personal use.

Logmein is just the same by the looks and been around for some time now.

Logmein aka VNC is much slower than this. You need to purchase the full version to transfer files and such. This application is much better, I've used VNC so many times but this tops them all, I wouldn't use it now otherwise:D.

I'll give it a go for my windows systems though I'll have to stick to VNC for the most part as the majority of what I work with are *nix systems. Looks promising though, I'll post back with some results later. Thanks for the heads up.

Indeed, I have the logmein free on several machines but there's no file transfer, which would have made things a lot easier.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll give it a try.

looks interesting, as of chance can u start programmes going?(utorrent)

Yes you can start applications, you get full control of their Windows. Anything you can do on the PC you can do from TeamViewer.

Does it use there server to connect or does the machine you are trying to connect to considered the server? Basically, all my data won't go through the companies server?

Looks pretty good though.
