will all be change soon as moving back to my house in london but was taking some last photos of my room at home before i move out for good rather than jsut coming back at hols, and thought would chuck some on here

Builds by the boys at pcspecialist as i was seriously pressed for time when i wanted a new rig and only ended up being about £100 more expensive than doing itmyself so bugger it.

Need some cable tidying and probly get myself a modular power supply at some point, another 8800 gts 512 if I see any going cheap to go in, other than that very happy with it. Laptops a crappy inspiron 6400 I use when in the library/doing research projects and just had open today as was giving it a good clean.

trying to work out what the case is, its pretty good but i cant work out exactly what it is, if anyone knows let me know

specs:

CPU: Q9450 @ 3.0ghz

GPU: Asus 8800 GTS 512mb

RAM: XMS2 4gb

Mobo: Asus Striker II Formula

Audio: Included card

HD: 2x500gb Seagate Drives in Raid 0

Monitor: Cibox 22inch

External bits: 300gb Buffalo HD

Logitech 2.1 speakers (have a set of 5.1s but awaiting new head unit *winka t davep*)

Logitech Media control centre keyboard, mouse and remote

Some crappy trust headphones

thats about it :)

Talk about stealth mate! That's a beast of a rig to have in such an unassuming subtle case, I'm likin it! Classic poster on the wall as well :D

loving it, what speeds you clocking out of that? btw, love the monitor, let me guess, bigmaggot.co.uk??

I have one too, wall mounted, works like a charm, had another but sold it to a mate for cheap XD

hehe no play.com i think, was super cheap, just over £100 like 18months ago, had something stupid like 40% off.

I had it wall mounted when i used to live here, as you cans ee by the mount to the right of the desk area but never got used to it, reminds me to tkae that mount off and flog it/take it to house and get a big flat plasma for the lounge.

getting 3ghz on air, with idle at 46'c average on the cores, not toooo bad i dont think, the q9450s run relatively hot neways, seems good compared to what ive seen them runninng at idle at that OC. does me nicely.

Nice work. Great rig for such a suttle case. :)

Just a suggestion, why don't you try undervolting the CPU a bit to keep the temperatures down?

I've mine set to 1.1625V in my Rampage Formula's BIOS, and it's perfectly stable.

few updates,

lost the augidy sound card as have thrown in a new 8800 gts 512 , loving the sli performance boost, far more than i was expecting

bottom ones running pretyt hot thou, any ideas on what i can do to help cool it in my little case?

also the powersupply is an FSP 700w, anyone know anything about them? good or time to get something better? FSP group power supplys seem to rank fairly well but i have no idea which specific one this is, anyone got any idea?

had to use a bloody molex to 6pin connector as the 2nd 6pin connector cable just would not reach the bottom gfx card...bit of a pain to be frank.

some new piccys of the pc and my new work area in london

-pics uploading-

Lovely specs inside a ordinary PC :p. Looks like you could do with a new mousemat though lol

EDIT: you got new pics at the same time as my post. Nice cable management (Y)

Cut some holes at the side? then route the cables to the back of the case?

I see you added another GTS aswell :)

aye, need to find a way to cool it better

when i get cash might get a bigger case, or get some feet, cut a hole in bottom and fan grill it for better air flow from base...not sure, any other ideas?

absolutely beautiful machine, how much did it set you back?

just over 1k for the box about 5 months ago,

add all the peripherals and monitor bought over the years...maybe £1.4k total spent so far?

just bought a £200 hi fi system for my lounge, will get some pics once internets working better, means will be running my 5.1 speakers off the pc now :)

Wow, that must have been tough!

Nicely done though, whats up with the case though? :) I think that should be your next investment, a good case. The Antec Three Hundred looks very tasty at £40! ;)

was just the case provided, due to work didnt have time to build myself,

its not a bad case actually, probly need something bigger than a 300 (pretty much the same as this) so i can get some better cooling in there. Might go water.

need moolah first
