So i am iffy about getting my mountin mods ascension case. But nothing else looks and works with my water cooling setup like that case does for me.

I just ordered my Maximus IV z68 board along with my i7 2600k. So now im going for my case before i go ahead and get my gpus <3.

I have heard people like TTL say cable management is wak and it looks silly etc. But to me personally the cables i will be using for the build will look good the way i have them. And unlike other people all four sides of my case will not have windows so you can see the back and the cable management etc etc.

Also have heared that it becomes a hotbox esp since i will be running air cooled 590s. BUT the fast i will be using i think can suck air in and out pretty good

.

I will be using 6 of these fans on the front to suck air into the case. And then where the 10 pci slots are i will have a 7th suck air out.

And with this rad

i will put vertical on the back 360 mm fan mounts. On the one side using 6 of these fans in push/pull. Maybe pulling air from inside the case on the one side where the psu is and pushing it out the back? Thats what im thinking please correct me if im doing wrong physics here.

But other then that i love the open space in this case and cant find anything else square that i like :/.

If you have anything to add like i said a couple hours to talk me out of a 500 dollar case >.<

I used to have an origional UFO case way back in the day beleive it was 18 cubed or 24 cant rem exactly. While I loved the case it becme my desktop nemisis as its so farkin huge. And the ascension is bigger well taller for sure. I modded the crap out of it. Last time I saw it ws when I tossed it in the bin before going to Kuwait back in 05 (didnt have a place to keep it or time to try and sell it) There are plenty of good if not better cases you can look at.

Trust me i have spent the last 8 hours researching STRAIT since 7 this morning... NOTHING and i mean NOTHING fits what i would like... Besides maybe the new raven case. As i hated the way the window and everything was on the left side of the case then the proper side, kind of made me cringe... BUT i have a 1200 watt ax psu that needs to fit in as it is 5mm to big for the way they have the psu facing now...

PUSH THE BUY BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ur not going to find that other case that bites ya in da ass til bout 5mins after

Sleep on it... If you still wake up in a weeks time and you are still obsessing about it - get it - its not going anywhere. I would like to see the build log though

I already have some of it started in the project logs section with piks etc. Just random things i picked up though. The rest in coming in by the end of this upcoming week most likely

One question with all these fans im having trouble figuring out what i need to do in controlling them... Its either

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=30058

or a simple

http://www.mountainmods.com/xstation-powerextension-male-version-red-p-588.html

I dont know if i can put 3x fans on each nob. Would just take a simple splitter... But does it really matter to have that kind of control? Im not a big person on noise really but would i be able to control them somehow through the bios or is it just a simple port to power them all?

All you have to do is split them with a y-splitter(you'll need 2, never heard of a w-splitter) and plug one end into the fan controller. With the fan controller, just be sure to not exceed the maximum wattage per channel(dont worry, you're far from it).

FYI, math time: total wattage = 12V x .34 A (fan's amperage) x 3 = 12.24W.

Edit: not being d**k/condescending, I just don't like math that much

Edit 2: DO NOT connect it to the motherboard, you could damage it(too many amps).
