Take a punt?

Been looking for decent ram for ages, without a price tag that makes me want to cry.

It needed to be a Triple Channel DDR3 1600MHz 6GB kit to go with my socket 1366 i7 I'm getting.

Found some Blue (which would fit in with my planner interior colour scheme) Crucial Ballistix Tracer going rather cheap on the web but that promptly sold out. Now all I can find is overpriced stuff direct from crucial or Red which wouldn't go at all.

Instead I turned my attention to OCZ as they seem to do affordable yet well performing products, namely the low voltage gold range. On the web the prices vary but still seem to hover not so far away from the Crucial, but then I thought I'd take a look on eBay.

Crucial 6GB kits were non-existent save for a horribly overpriced kit, yet I managed to find an "OCZ Gold DDR3 1600MHz PC3 12800 6GB OCZ3G1600LV6GK" kit going NEW for just £130.

I can't see anything that seems to be illegit going on so I assume this is the real deal and are indeed brand new, which seems an absolute bargain in my eyes.

Was just wondering what anyone else's opinion on the matter was or if they knew of some alternative I could purchase either Black, metallic or Blue to match my interior?

Any responses appreciated as always.

After you said Kingston I was just looking at that exact package on overclockers. Seems much more expensive at other sites. So I take it that's a good option for the money and I should probably grab it before prices start to rise again?

Thanks again Tom. You are THE MAN.
