Switching mouse across two screens whilst gaming

Hey

I'm after an app or something which will allow me to basically play a game on one screen but allow me to switch across to the other screen without alt tabbing.

Such a thing exist?

I think the only way to do that is to play in windowed mode. I saw a mod for Oblivion that would make the game borderless and no taskbar when in windowed mode, so it would look just like full screen. Not sure if it has any impact on performance though.
I'll try to see if I can remember the name of that mod.
Here is the mod, it's supposed to work with most games, not just oblivion.
And here is a quick guide on borderless windowed.

It normally depends on the game
Most games are ok on fullscreen-windowed mode unless they have captured the mouse pointer.

eg: DOTA2 -
when in menu - you can just move the mouse to the opposite screen and it works
when in console - same as above
when ingame - the game captures the mouse pointer and you have to alt-tab to release the capture.

Most FPS games & fullscreen RTS games seem to capture the pointer meaning you have to alt+tab
Some MMO's don't require alt+tab in fullscreen-windowed mode tho as they don't capture the mouse/pointer.
In some games you can set capture to 0 but with most it depends on the game (eg: dota2 you mostly want to drag the mouse to the side of the screen to move the view of the map)

I've not found any programs to mess with the capture, would guess you could setup a macro on keyboard or mouse for alt+tab but that's not really much help tbh, just means hitting less keys.

I think you can click over to the other screen using steam overlay but you might aswell alt+tab.

There's not much you can really do, some games use ClipCursor which may be able to be overridden with a program running in the background checking to see if the clip rect is smaller than your desktop rect. However, some games manually clip the cursor by setting it's position if it goes beyond the bounds of the game window which can't really be prevented.

Cheers guys. Would be cool to be able to play bioshock on the tv whilst chatting to mates on facebook on the other. No matter :)
