Switch 810 build

After getting the 3rd prize in this years competition, I decided to make a few upgrades to my PC - and with that, will probably have ended up being the most expensive competition I've ever won :p
Old rig: http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=44560

Most of the hardware is pretty much the same as the last one, as I got the new case yesterday and just transferred everything over - but they'll be some updates over the next few days.

Here's how it stands now:

Excuse the fact that there's about 6 different types of fan in there - I had temperature issues last night - but they're all running at 5v so it's still near silent.

Also excuse the two different 670s - but there's a reason for that - and as many of you know, I hate full tower cases that use air coolers *hint hint* ;)

Anyway - Thanks to TTL, OC3D and Specialtech for making this possible.

Current specs:
Switch 810
3770k @4.5ghz - Noctua NH-D14
P8Z77-v Deluxe
AX850
Crucial M4
KFA2 670
EVGA 670 FTW
Xonar Essence STX

Shame you got rid of the CM case, could have been a really good mod,
im half tempted to buy it and show you what you coulda done and take it to i49

Looks really nice man :) Looking forward to the watercooling :D

Thanks!

I know - I kind of miss it actually. It was just so well built - and just makes the Switch feel cheap......well....actually, the fact that the Switch arrived to me with bits of plastic snapped off makes it feel cheap.
And you should do! It'd be nice to see what someone could do with it. I did consider trying to get a thin 360 in the roof then a thick 240 in the bottom. Still - as much as I loved it, I fancied a change.

i would do but unfortunatly the 2 projects plus car insurance is bleeding me dry atm, see what my finances are like nearer the time maybe have a quick Matx lian li mod for iseries

Cool that you got some new hardware. Looking forward to see when you can get water cooling in it. Congratulations again on the win.

Thanks!

On my end just that roof feels incredibly flimsy especially those push in lock thingys other then that its perfect! If you are on AIR you should have gone with the phantom personally I prefer the original looks.

Yeah, it is mainly the roof that I feel is cheap. It's one of the push fittings on the roof that snapped off, making the whole panel very shakey. There are push fittings all over the case however, which are probably less likely to break, but being push fittings, they'll only last a certain amount of time anyway.
Also the window panel isn't secured on as well as I'd have hoped.

Other than that though, I love the case.

And yeah, completely agree about the air, but hopefully by later today, I won't be ;)

if i can get it out, i might have a spare clip you can have if you're interested? (i got a replacement top panel due to a thumbprint in the black silk)

Thanks for the offer - but from that, I think we're talking about different things.

The plastic clip bit on the left is non-existant (and you can see from the markings it's been snapped off.

I've contacted NZXT so will hopefully get a replacement, but as that's part of the panel itself, the entire vent panel would need replacing.

Thanks again for the offer :)

Same happened to me except I found that plastic part lodged into the push in tried pulling it out but its lodged in there goood and don't want to cause more damage.
