Just voted for CPU and made it 10-10. Gonna be a difficult choice this one!

I quite like steppers version. Maybe put the swoosh bit on the CPU one and downtone the 'O' a little bit...

Why not make a few different mixes and post up the best for further voting.

I'll run another poll once I've tweaked out the CPU version a bit more :)

Although I like the swoosh, if we're gonna make any last minute changes to the logo it has to be done now before we start handing out awards and redesigning OC3D stationary etc.

Lasher makes an interesting point about the logo looking 'busy' as opposed to simplified but you have to remember that simple logos are trademarks for a product of some sort, in other words, they are there to make money. OC3D (as far as I am aware) is not here to make money, it's the companies such as Gigabyte or Asus that have that job. So the logo can be as illustrated or as simple as you like, because at the end of the day, the true wealth of this site is the information it provides.

I think what we're after is some middle ground. Although the logo wont generate us any money as you say, it needs to be instantly recognisable for use with award logo's and stuff.

Basically we want people to look at product packaging and instantly go "oh its got an OC3D award".

Well this one makes it pretty clear that it's OC3D now doesn't it?:p

Well not exactly. Manufacturers expect award logo's to be fairly squarish. if we put the current logo inside a square award render as soon as you start resizing the award down to our current logo size (150x120) then the text becomes quite hard to read.

Well that's a shame since it's a pretty nice logo

Currently 50/50, I prefer the CPU'ish one.

Gonna be interesting how you're gonna make it into a awards logo etc though.

I've just voted for the CPU'ish logo so now it's 12-13. This is gonna be a really close poll, I'd definitely have voted for somewhere in between if I could have.
