Swiftech H220 Review on OC3D?

Thanks! I had only seen the HiTechLegion one so far.

That xcpus.com comparison is deffinitely interesting as well ;)
Waiting for a video review from OC3D :p

I'm still not sold on the idea of this product. The ability to strip it to bits and go custom seems a bit gimmicky.

im with you NRG.. its going to complicate it even more..
custom cooling is tough enough, but a modified AIO will get a lot into trouble and
not realize the problems till ear-deep in doo-doo and no way to salvage or
re-coupe some of the monies tied up into it.

when analized, most peeps are buying the pump for $140, plus, plus, plus.
change the radiator (so now you gotta add a reservoir), change the tubing (more
connections), add/buy more fittings, etc... can't really sell the unsed parts to recoupe
some cost.. but if all you are going to do is a CPU, then its a choice.

I don't believe exactly in only that review, I want more and off course with one graphic card and push-pull mode. Only one review is nothing and customers thinking is important too. I believe Swiftech H220 is at least 5C better than NZXT, but all of them are good coolers and it's not far at all from full custom, because of that important is temps with one graphic card, people in many cases expect exactly that.

from the reviews/preview's ive seen this rivals the h100i the most and is quieter and runs a little cooler but only because the pump is that much better.

tbh the price point is higher than the h100i and once people start adapting it they need more pure h20 to put in it along with tubing gpu blocks etc may aswell just buy a full custom loop to start with and you would probably save more in the long run but thats just my POV of this new gimick..

Its set to drop at U.S. e-tailers at the end of february for $139.00 . At that price ( $20.00 more than the h-100i ) I'll buy it just for the cpu loop , assuming the temps and noise levels perform as advertised .

I've never thought twice about the ability to expand this, I've always looked at this as a CPU only cooler. I never liked the H100i and I've said that I would rather pay a bit more for something that performs better/I like better, and this is exactly that.

H220 kit for review.

Jean-Christophe is our contact in Europe and he wasn't very specific about which reviewers he was sending our kits out to. Good to know that Tom has one and I look forward to getting his feedback on our new kit.
