will rank it by 2MB and 4MB chips. Whos got the tweaks (and RAM I guess)???

for a 4MB chip, ballpark times are 13M 30 seconds or less ideally (12M 5x secs IS possible). For 4MB, if its over 14M I wont include it ;)

This should be a fair and not-too-extreme test to maybe blow a few cobwebs away :)

GO!

4MB cache

K404......................13M 16.469 secs. 400x9, RAM @ 600MHz 5-5-4

Mr Dizzy................13M 21.047 secs 450x8, RAM @ 900MHz 7-7-6

Stocky...................13M 45.797 secs 450x8, RAM @ 562MHz 4-4-4

Mav........................13M 54.563 secs.

2M cache

Spectrum48...........13M 44.125 secs 515x7 RAM @ 515MHz 4-4-4

lol, you forgot to add that this is really only for C2D/Quad chips....you dont even wanna see the time my pentiumD just spat out at 3.6....but it was sloooooow :D

I tired to get it going, but unfortunately my system won't hack it since I brought it back home. It's running like a pile of poo. I think the time for the new phase is nearing...

Untweaked and old OS install coz WoW takes 5 hrs to install :(

I think its good ot haev apoint of reference mate - its not really a compo more of a comparison of tweaked/untweaked and older gen first latest gen cpu's.

So why not join in the fun buddy - 'ave it!!

Giga released the F5g BIOS.. I thought i'd try it..

Again, more to come. Previously on the 2:3 ratio, 370-405 FSB was a black hole, now its no problem and is tighter than the 5:8 ratio. :) I suspected my poor scores were BIOS/board related!

Another incentive for 3600MHz: For the guys who can get the tweaks on the button, scores around the 13M 5- 13M 20 mark will have an effect on our team ranking ;)

Obviously higher clocks count for that, but this is just to highlight the fact that guys dont need sky-high clocks to help the team....yet :p

BUMP.

Had an idea

Just posted this thread at a few forums with a combined member count of 190,000+ so lets see if a few folk sign up :D

Running an old install of Vista Ultimate x64, but had to give it a go with this RAM with the CPU at 3600MHz :)

CPU: 450x8 = 3600

RAM: 562 4:5 @ 5-5-5-15 :$

That only just gets me in under 14secs! :$

Now to tighten down these timings...

A bit better - just changed the RAM timings to 4-4-4-12 rather than 5-5-5-15. I wasn't sure they'd hack those timings so I'm quite pleased :)

It also puts me in front of Mav, so I'll call it a day :D
