Strange memtest problem

Hi guys,

I have posted this here as I suspect the problem isnt related to my RAM, but I dont know what it is related to either.

I have been working on an A64 mATX system and it has been causing me a lot of trouble, the hardware is as follows:

AMD A64 3200 (Winnie)

FOXCONN CK804K8MA-KS SKT939 NFORCE4

2x Corsair (VS512MB400C3)

THe problem I encounter in memtest is that memtest stops running (sometimes after 1 successful loop, sometimes after several) and presents me with lots of white text where the normal red RAM errors would be along with the message:

'Unexpected interrupt - halting' and on the line below it mentions 'inv_op'

Has anyone got any clue what this error means, obviously if I can pinpoint the hardware causing the problem quickly it will save me a lot of hassle!

Many Thanks!

For what reason do you not think it is not a RAM issue?

Does it do this at standard clocks or with different RAM fitted?

Is the system overclocked?

I just have this suspicious feeling it isnt RAM, I'll try it with some kingston when I get home, but no the machine is NOT over clocked :)
