Hi guys can anyone direct me to a place that sells cpu`s with guaranteed stepping ,also whats the best for a 478 3.4e .

please pm me with the links please

It's interesting that someone should say the E0 stepping.

I got my 3.4e which is a D0 stepping running sweet @ 4.4Ghz.

Of course it's machII cooled on a Droop modded P4C800-E Delux but I am very happy with that set-up.

The D0 stepping I was lead to believe has better thermal management (runs cooler) than the C0 stepping and the E0 Stepping.

I would like to hear anyone elses comments if they have any.

i have a 3.2 C0 in front of me now never managed anything above 4 gig with it as soon as i upded the fsb to 255 it was unstable and it didnt clock any better with a lower multi either

I have been running a 3.4e D0 stepping with a setup like Maverik and can run everything at 4.4GHz and most things between 4.5 and 4.6. I was leading the CustomPC leaderboard until the dual CPU PCs took over, so I can vouch for this setup. Don't know much about the E0 stepping except that heat management and performance I thought improved with steppings? Bought my cpu from ebay to make sure I got the stepping I wanted.

All 478 3.4e's have the same thermal spec. All 478 3.4E's have unlocked multi's.The SL7AJ uses 0.13 micron construction, whilst all other Sspec's use 90nm.The EO's are supposed to be best,CO's next,DO's least favoured, but its pot luck really, chuck the overclocking di and hope you dont roll snake-eyes.
