Nice review, once again. I do like the look actually, doesn't seem to erm... gamer'ish. I used to get hardware which was aimed at gamers but found most of it useless. I still stick to my words that the £7 headset from Argos is better than my £160 pair. They're not ear-cupped either, they were these:
Now you all may laugh but I swear these are amazing. I was able to hear half way across the map with these, they had crisp clear sound and always worked. None of this fancy settings and software, installed and perfect for gaming.
Its a bit like the Intellimouse Explorer really isn't it. One of the most 'average' mice that money could buy, yet to many gamers it still stands as one of the best mice they've ever used.
I had the cheapest pair of Logitech small sit on ear headsets that were very crisp in sound. The mic was utter rubbish but the sound was so clear I could hear much more in CSS that with a 'gamer' set. That said, the bass was rubbish also, but in a clan match, I didn't much care for bass.
