steam down?!

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I can't seem to get onto steam

I noticed most of the servers on my server browser are pretty much empty aswell.

Is anyone else having problems, or is it just me?

same here i am ok , BUT most of my friends have a problem saying something to do with steam servers

seattle, where steam is based, has suffered severe power outages today

checking my steam log, the connection seems to open, but it gets no further maybe they are restoring the data or something.

The IP pings at 20ms tho: 87.248.208.117
