Standby Recovery Issues

Hi all.

Recently when my pc goes into standby it refuses to come out of it, I can hit keyboard buttons mouse buttons nothing, hitting the shutdown button on the power off does nothing, the only way to get any progress is to hit the reset.

I've not changed any hardware so I am confused :(

Check in your BIOS settings as to what type of standby the PC resumes from (S1, S3). Are you sure it's not in hibernation mode? In the Control Panel under 'Power Options', what do you have set?

i know this isn't helpful to you but mine (p5b dlx) just started freezing when coming out of standby too, having previously been fine with it - fecking irritating.

Hibernation is disabled I checked that though thanks, I am thinking that my keyboard and mouse are USB, now could this prevent it rebooting due to the *shut down usb device to save power?*

Hmmm I shall check.
